Springtime Fun on the BeltLine

Spring is almost here! And with it comes warmer weather,  we desire to get outdoors and enjoy it. AEP could not think of a better place for you to enjoy the warm weather than Atlanta’s BeltLine. The sustainable redevelopment project consists of a network of public parks, trails and transit along a historic 22-mile railroad corridor. The BeltLine circles downtown and connects many neighborhoods directly to each other. The outdoor setting offers the opportunity to engage in many activities, such as walking, biking, swimming, yoga and tours, just to name a few. Bring a chair, blanket, or find a bench if you simply prefer to enjoy nature’s beauty.Walking, biking, and bus tours are also offered to the public. The tours are a perfect way to take in the natural beauty of the Atlanta BeltLine while learning about the history of the beltline project, updates and long range plans. While out enjoying the Beltline take time to stop by one of the many restaurants located along the way. The options are as diverse as the city, so make sure you visit one of the spots for a sit down meal, drink or on-the-go snack.Atlanta’s first public skatepark offers something for skaters at every skill level. Legendary skateboarder, Tony Hawk, was present for the grand opening of the park. His foundation contributed $25,000 towards the construction of the park.

Local restaurants will compete in a Low Country Boil competition. The live music stage will feature a full day of roots, blues, jazz and bayou funk.
